Commercial Shredding Service for Massachusetts Businesses

Your business generates paper that can hurt you: payroll runs, customer files, contracts, pricing sheets, HR records. Massachusetts law (201 CMR 17.00) says you must destroy records with personal information so they cannot be read or recovered. A wastebasket does not meet that standard. A locked console and a notarized Certificate of Destruction do.

We are a family-owned shredding company in Tewksbury, MA. We have served Greater Boston and the Merrimack Valley since 2007 with zero data breaches, a BBB A+ rating and rates we post publicly. No contracts. No hidden fees. You deal with the owner, not a call center.

Three ways businesses use us

Scheduled console service, from $150 per visit

We place locked security consoles in your office at no cost. Your staff drops sensitive paper in all week. We empty and shred on a weekly, biweekly, monthly or quarterly schedule. You get a chain-of-custody log at every pickup and a notarized Certificate of Destruction after every visit. Cancel anytime. Best fit: offices with steady paper flow, including law firms, CPA firms and medical practices.

One-time purge, from $129.95 plus weight

Office move, storage room cleanout, closed client files past their retention date, a decade of boxes in the basement. We arrive with locked bins, weigh on site and shred within 24 hours at our Tewksbury plant. Volume discounts start at 10 boxes. We have handled single boxes and 5,000-box cleanouts.

Drop-off, 99 cents per pound

Bring material to 1215 Main St, Unit 115, Tewksbury, any weekday 10AM to 5PM. No appointment. No minimum. A standard banker’s box runs about $22. Staff helps you unload.

National chains charge $200 to $400 per month for scheduled service and bind you to 1 to 3 year contracts with auto-renewal. Compliance covered

Massachusetts 201 CMR 17.00 requires every business holding personal information about MA residents to dispose of it so it cannot be read or recovered, and to document the process in a Written Information Security Program. Our notarized Certificate of Destruction is that documentation. It records date, weight, method and location, and arrives by email within 24 to 48 hours of every job.

Industry rules stack on top of the state law. HIPAA for patient information. FACTA for consumer credit data. The FTC Safeguards Rule for tax preparers and financial firms. ABA confidentiality rules for law firms. We work under all of them daily and hold GSA contractor status for federal and municipal clients. More background: the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and business document security.

What to put in the console

Payroll and HR files. Customer lists and invoices. Contracts and proposals past their term. Bank statements and cancelled checks. Credit applications. Anything with a name, address, SSN, account number or health detail. Staples and paper clips stay in. Not sure what needs shredding? Our guide covers it by record type.

Common questions

How fast can you start?

Consoles are typically placed within 2 to 3 business days. One-time pickups schedule within 24 to 48 hours. Same-day is sometimes available; call (978) 636-0301.

Do we need a contract?

No. Scheduled service runs month to month. Cancel anytime. National chains require 1 to 3 year terms; we never have.

Is on-site or off-site shredding better for a business?

Off-site shredding costs less and destroys material within 24 hours at our monitored plant. If your policy requires watching the destruction, we offer witnessed shredding at our plant by appointment, $75 minimum. Either way you receive the same notarized certificate.

Can you shred hard drives too?

Yes. Physical hard drive destruction with a serial-number certificate per device, NIST 800-88 compliant. Most businesses add a box of old drives and phones to their paper purge.

Which areas do you cover?

All of Greater Boston, the Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire, including Boston, Worcester, Lawrence and Manchester NH.

“My law practice accumulated two storage spaces full of old documents from old cases. I did my research from Shred-it, Cintas to Staples. I preferred to do business with Neighborhood Parcel because they were local and I was dealing with the owner. The service was on time, professional, and the invoice was exactly what they quoted. A+ all the way around.” — James Heater, Esq., Boston law practice
